I'm a 47 year old higher education professional with a passion for marathons. I grew up in NJ and spent my summers at the Jersey shore. I ran my first marathon in 2003 and started my 50-state journey in earnest in 2009. I currently have a knee injury so am walking instead of running, but that hasn't stopped me from pursuing my goal.
